Start your trip with a scenic Washington Ferry on your way to Port Townsend. Enjoy the beautiful views of the waterfront, tour the historic Point Wilson Lighthouse, and try to spot a whale from the top.
There are so many unique overnight options on the peninsula. One of our favorites is a working alpaca farm!
Wind your way up through Olympic National Park toward the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center. Pull off at one of the many scenic stopping points and slide out your kitchen to cook with a view. After fueling up, hike Klahhane Ridge and find yourself surrounded by spectacular views of the Salish Sea and Olympic mountains.
The vast Olympic National Forest is an ideal spot to try dispersed camping. We’ll send you recommendations and instructions for finding the perfect spot, and we recommend doing so before dark.
Start your day early to check out Devil’s Punchbowl, an iconic spot on Lake Crescent. Then head around the lake to hike to Marymere Falls. This trail is rated as easy and is one of our favorites year-round. You will adventure through mossy trees and crystal clear rivers to arrive at a towering waterfall.
Make your way to the coast for a surreal sunset, then settle in at another scenic campsite.
A trip to the Olympic National Park wouldn’t be complete without a day spent on Washington’s dramatic and rocky shores. Hike the Ozette Triangle for a canopy bridge trail and coastal walk, or sightsee at Ruby Beach to lounge with stunning rockwall giants before looping back to Seattle.
